Hormonal health
Hormones and Food Allergy Test
How hormone patterns and food sensitivities can overlap, and what testing actually tells us.
What this care involves
Hormones work quietly behind everything — steadying mood, sleep, appetite, energy and your cycle. Most of us notice them only once something shifts.
When the picture becomes confusing
Hormonal symptoms rarely arrive alone. Fatigue, bloating, low mood, broken sleep and irregular cycles overlap so completely that it becomes hard to tell which is driving which. Many women spend years treating one symptom at a time.
Food can be part of that same picture. A sensitivity producing low-grade inflammation can deepen hormonal symptoms without ever causing obvious digestive upset, which is why it tends to be missed.
What testing can show us
- Oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone, and their balance
- Thyroid function
- Cortisol patterns across the day
- Food-specific antibodies, where symptoms suggest them
Testing is most valuable when it answers a particular question. I would far rather run the right three panels than a long list that leaves us no clearer.
Why we look at both together
Treating hormones while an inflammatory trigger continues is slow going. Removing foods without understanding the hormonal picture brings only temporary relief. Together, the two usually explain far more.
Curious what your own hormone picture looks like? Book a consultation and we will choose the testing that will actually tell us something.
